Most of the major cities like Dubrovnik, Split, Pula, Zadar and Rijeka are located on the shore and constitute major ports as well as tourist attractions. They are all unique mixtures of ancient and modern because you'll find many night clubs and restaurants among the old Roman ruins, thus making for a very pleasurable experience.

But the true delight of the Croatian Adriatic coast is the large number of islands scattered along the coast in many archipelagoes, the main reason why yachties come here. So if you're tired of spending time on the shore, try changing your point of view and booking a sailing holiday to Croatia.
